from Honduras to the Nations
Honduras is the second poorest country in Latin America. The families we work with live in cardboard or plastic homes in most cases with no running water nor a bathroom. Most of our families have an average income of $200 per month when or if they can find work. These homes provide a safe, healthy, life-changing dwelling. We build new Caribbean style homes with concrete floors, four painted walls, and a roof to protect them from the elements for a cost of only $4500.00 USD.
(Home costs are figured with local labor, materials, tools, and overhead. for any questions regarding builds please contact us directly)
Only 38% of Honduran students graduate from high school. This is largely because public education ends at grade 4, making it nearly impossible for families experiencing poverty to continue their child’s education. Our passion is to provide opportunities through sponsorship, enabling children to receive an education despite their family’s economic situation. A monthly donation to this program helps break generation cycles – a powerful way to show Gods love in a tangible way.
Showing Gods love through friendship, mentorship, and bible study is a big part of our ministry at the local Girls Crisis Centre. Many of the young women we serve here are seeking refuge for themselves and their young children after experiencing injustice. Our heart is to show these girls who God’s created them to be and how loved they are by Him.
“Light to the Nations” began in 2025 during a missionary trip to rural Honduras, where we encountered communities deeply affected by limited electricity and infrastructure. Today, our mission focuses on installing reliable off-grid solar systems for the more than one million Hondurans living without power.
Around 300 people live and work in the only landfill of Tegucigalpa which is fed by the over 1 million residents. These families work through sorting the garbage in an effort to hopefully collect just $2 a day. We know that Jesus sees and loves these people. Our hope is that through our friendship and care they would come to know Jesus heart for them.
Hospital Escuela is the only free hospital in Honduras. People come from all over the nation seeking medical care here. Most of our ministry here is praying with the families of patients, who waiting for updates on their loved ones outside the Hospital doors. We believe that Christ alone can bring light to this dark and desperate place.
Centro – Weekly we come the the Centro of the city and have a time of worship, prayer, and sharing the gospel. We have seen how God intentionally speaks through these times. He is always wanting to reach out to his Children and we want to partner with Him in that.
Street Kids – Partnering with a local church, this ministry specifically reaching the children of of vendors, prostitutes, and people living on the streets. Through song, dance, and prayer we are able to teach these precious children that they are seen and loved by God.
